Madeleine Kurtsdotter was born in Gothenburg in Sweden in May 1969.

Madeleine has studied graphic design, advertising and marketing in schools such as Berghs SoC and IHM. She has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, project manager
and creative manager for SVT, IKEA, Oriflame and others.
At SVT she designed the cover to the songbook for "Allsång
på Skansen" in 2006 and 2007.

Madeleine has also run her own company both in Sweden and France where she lived for eight years. She has taken various courses in croquis, oil painting and clay sculpting.

She prefers to work with mixed techniques combining acrylic, oil, porcelain paint and natural material. She likes to create exciting contrasts in her paintings and loves to experiment
with colours and shapes.

Madeleine finds inspiration from many sources: meetings, music, books and personal experiences and also from longer stays in France, USA, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
Her positive view of life is reflected in her work - in the way
of sparkling colour combinations and contrasts which characterize her paintings.

Madeleine not only exhibits her work but has also produced many paintings by commission for clients both in Sweden
and abroad, especially in France.
